Change Log

Software Science maintains an on-line Change Log for each customer, enabling the customer to view and track modifications made to their project, and to access and control software releases of their project. A sample screen of the Change Log might look like this:

Each change is documented with a reference to the specifications that initiated and defined the change desired, so the customer can always retrieve the information that motivated the change. The brief description of the field can be expanded by clicking on the description cell. Notice that the customer has the option to control the deployment of the software release. Frequently SSI is given the authorization to deploy new releases as they become available. In some mission critical applications, however, the customer may wish to determine who and when a new release of the code is placed in operation. The customer can take advantage of the Change Log to document how and when that is done.
